Stunning! What a marvelous piece of tatting! It's simply beautiful! (....and so he doesn't feel left out, give my fond regards to Mr. G.) ;-) StephanieW
Wow! It is really breathtaking Fox! I have a day or two left on mine, and this magnificent, I am so happy, you have better fortitude than me and this is helping me to complete mine! If I could only hand you roses, but computer hugs is okay too :)
Wow! Somewhere along the line I missed that this was in size 80. I can't believe how big it is - what an aceivement! Well done :) What on earth are you going to do with yourself now?!
I was so excited to post this I forgot to add a HUGE thank you to all those dear Tatters who have supported and encouraged me throughout the long ordeal.
I absolutely could NOT have finished without your help. Thank you! : )
Dum di dum dum dummmmmmmmmmmm :-) Great work ! It really does do justice to the name 'corona' . You must be so happy to have continued with it & completed it ! Superb achievement & accomplishment.
Wow a true master piece of tatting, and it's huge in size 80 how big would it have been in a lower number thread. Well done I am so glad you finished it. Love to Mr G. I bet he is relieved you have finished it, at least his ears can have a rest. What's your next project? Margaret
Drum roll indeed!! It's absolutely glorious. Thanks for showing us the process, we know the blood sweat and tears that went into it and it's all the more special for that.
When I first saw this doily in Sherry Townsend's blog years ago, I was totally in awe - both of the designer Ben Fikkart and of Sherry's gorgeous rendition. I couldn't begin to figure out how the design was put together! I enlarged a photo of it and put it in a special notebook under the title 'Olympics of Tatting', and would look at it in wonder!. I truly doubt that I ever will tat it, but it's been fascinating to follow along with those of you who took on the challenge! . I missed your post on the day of the Grand Reveal, but am so thrilled at your triumph! It's breathtaking to look at! What really blows me away is that you used size 80 thread. And the color combination is so perfect! Surely you will enter this in a Fair. They really should have gold medals in addition to ribbons, as it's truly an Olympic feat!
Oh my goodness! Be-U-T-ful! ! ! Absolutely gorgeous! Stunning! Exemplary! Outstanding! I love everything about this one! Design, color . . .
But . . . When shall I expect to receive it in the mail? ? ? ? ;) Fox, you really have outdone yourself! I can't even imagine what you will come up with to top this!
WOW, you must feel good to have this one behind you. Will you keep it or gift it? Such beautiful tatting.
