#74-100 Motif Challenge
This went much faster than expected and was not as difficult as I had originally anticipated.
Perhaps I have grown into the book by Taiko Fujito; last year I found it frustrating, OR this pattern is not hard!

The Lizbeth #40 came that came from Crazy Mom is lovely to work with. It has become regular thread. Thanks CM!
I just noticed how the variegated thread played out in the last chain! Long repeats I see, which kind of works in this case - just. I think I imagined the edge with the colour changes occurring more often.

What to tat next? I have no idea.
The flower looks lovely! The thread is very pretty, and I do love that book. I guess I'll have to look through it again just to see what attracts my interest.
ReplyDeleteThe more I see of what everyone is trying out, the more eager I am for retirement. Just think of how much fun I could have with inspiration from all my tatting buddies!
Diane, you are sweet! Ah, yes. One needs time to tat - that is for sure, or a lot of insomnia!
ReplyDeleteFox : )
you amaze me at the amount of tatting you accomplish! It takes me forever to finish one project, & here you have a new one almost every day... it isn't fair!! Not fair I say!! :)
ReplyDeleteI do like that! I like the way tatters inspire each other too.
ReplyDeleteI like what the brown does to this motif. It makes it so interesting and it looks so different from Tatting Fool's.
ReplyDeleteLovely and sweet colours.
ReplyDeleteI don't have this book, maybe I should look it up.
Your project turned out very lovely. I have done a few projects from that book myself. May have to go back and look at that one again.
ReplyDeleteSee, I told you! It looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteFantastic Fox! I love how the colours on the final round seem to mirror each other, as do those flowers. Very nice pattern.
ReplyDeleteYou are extremely quick. This motif is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou tatted this up so quickly! It is a beautiful motif!!
ReplyDeleteGreat flower and lovely tatting! :)
ReplyDeleteWhich of her books is it? It is a beautiful design! You did a wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteThe book? The Tatted Artistry of... : )
ReplyDeleteOkay, Thank you! That was a book I was planning on getting eventually. I love seeing things out of books that I can't see the insides of.

Bonjour, Charlette! Merci beaucoup! Fox ; ))
DeleteVery pretty motif and nicely done...I think that book just landed on my list :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely Motif and the colours make it sing!
ReplyDeleteOh my, Fox... this one is gorgeous! I've had this book for the longest time but often hesitated because I imagined the tatting will be difficult. Thanks for giving the inspiration to check it out again. How about another motif from this book? I love those flora and leaves patterns at the end, pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteHi Fox, I like a lot visiting your blog as you are so creative! Your tatting works are always very interesting and the colors are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGood tatting!
Beautiful piece!
ReplyDeletePink & brown together are lovely.
The color pink on it's own is to .... dare I say sweet, for my taste :-) However, I do really like pink with the brown to cut back the sweetness.
Love that motif! I just realized I have this book, too. Lots of gems inside. And that thread is delicious!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful :)
