I had promised myself I would just go slow and enjoy the process, for part three, but , true to form, I am still up to my old tricks, barrelling along at breakneck speed, as usual. Nothing else gets done, except a snippet of the hankie, with a real corner, which I have not done before:
and a section of a hat started for Mini-Boss, to be completed with the requisite tatting, of course
and maybe even some tiny, white beads!
and maybe even some tiny, white beads!
And that's it!
Anon,
The edging is so pretty! And, I love the tatting for the hat... perfect!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your start of the T.A.T. projects! Good for you. Step-by-step accomplishments are hard not to post :)
ReplyDeleteNice work on that hankie - and the hat will be darling with or without beads! Your tatting is fabulous.
Congratulations on the corner! The hat is beautiful, too. A word on the beads, and maybe I just think of things like this because I work in healthcare and therefore see danger everywhere. Babies put everything in their mouths. If she puts the hat in her mouth and pulls, the thread could break (especially after she gets teeth), and then she's got loose beads in her mouth. I wouldn't put beads on baby stuff. Maybe add a hint of metallic thread if you want to give it sparkle, and save the beads for when she's older. Sorry to be a spoilsport.
ReplyDeleteMini-Boss will be the best dressed baby in the nursery! That hat will be DARLING with that sweet tatted flower! You do such beautiful work! The edging is going to be SO pretty too - good job turning that corner!
ReplyDeleteBoy, you really hit the ground running with the T.A.T. - who says you can't enjoy something if you don't take it slow? When stuff is clicking you just go with it and for heaven's sake, DON'T QUESTION IT! I'm happy for you!
:) Ann
Oh, your little rosette looks so sweet! It'll look so cute on that hat. I hope you show it all finished with whatever beads and embellishments you put on it. Are you going to put the beads in the center?
ReplyDeleteDiane , Cindy, Miranda, Ann and Chiclet,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit! And the lovely comments.
Beads? Yes, I KNOW they are dangerous around babies, as I have been such a protective mum myself! Thanks for the heads-up! Rest assured; the mom of the wee one will be careful to keep the beads away from tiny hands!
I am not sure where or how this will be attached. Stay tuned!
