Only this little bit of an edging was begun, in #80 variegated Lizbeth from Denise, following Jon's Crown of Thorns pattern, which I find to be a very pleasing design for a hankie border. Thanks, Jon!
Before I left, I was able to get this finished.

ReplyDelete: ))
DeleteI love the look of that edging!! And the doily is great too!! :)
ReplyDeletewelcome back, sounds like you enjoyed your vacation.
ReplyDeleteThe edging is very pretty in that colorway. and delicate, do you have a home for it when it is finished? I like the look of your doily. very nice.
Hi, Ladytats,
DeleteI almost never have a home for things I tat, though I managed to sneak a couple of motifs (one that I really love) into an envelope along with the cheque for the lovely lady who looks after Gian while I am away. I am not sure she even likes tatting, as she has never said anything about the enclosures!!! Around the new year I left her a couple as well. Perhaps it is better that I do not know what happens to my lovely little bits!
This one is still an orphan.... Fox ; )
You're so brave with colours!
ReplyDeleteMight I ask what thread your edging is in?
Hi, wickedtats,
DeleteIt is Lizbeth#80, #159, but I don’t know what the name of it is. Fox : )
pretty! That looks like a fun edging!
ReplyDeleteI love how the colors worked out in the doily!
Ooh, it was Paris, was it? I hope you had a great trip. I love your doily, very fresh and zingy! And nicely tatted too.
ReplyDeleteSometimes our toes MUST trump tatting for other beautiful sights!
ReplyDeleteOh - three months too soon - or you could have visited me. You'll just have to come back.
