...is finished.
Jon's pattern is an amazing example of her designing abilities.
This was tatted in one go, utilizing split rings. I was very challenged figuring out directions...
I really admire the mind that is capable of writing this pattern.
I agree with you, and they both are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWondeful bookmark I like this one better, it's got shape, style and above all the colour.
ReplyDeleteLove to Mr G
Fabulous bookmark!! :)
ReplyDeleteBoth bookmarks look great!! :)
Oh Fox I tried this pattern when Jon first wrote it and could not figure out the instructions, may be many years down the line it would be different, but sounds still quite challenging. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThank, Sally! I have to tell you that even though I tatted this in the past, and thought I knew what I was doing, this took double the time it should have because I had to untat so many times! (about every third element!)
DeleteOh that has definately put me off trying it again!!!

DeleteBeautiful bookmarks! I've never attempted Jon's bookmark. Perhaps I should!
ReplyDeleteDo you know that one half of the Chinese Coin bookmark which may have been discarded in disgust years ago actually makes a very effective zig-zag edging for a hand towel? - it's a wonderful pattern, and I have tatted it successfully since that first attempt. It's what I classify as a brain-stretching pattern, and therefore good for me.
ReplyDeleteery ood observation, Maureen. I did not see it until you mentioned it.
DeleteJon's bookmark has been on my to-tat list for so many years !
ReplyDeleteLove the blue shade you chose.
Thanks, Tatters! 😘
