On the cracked fingers issue: I have found prevention is all that works for me. I use hand cream at night, as usual. And THEN, I put a glob in the palm of my hand and rub my fingers back and forth over it about 10-15 times. Then switch hands. The lotion is not as important as the time and motion spent rubbing it in.
