Great news on the Morimoto front!
Two rows snd some connectors to go and I'm done ! Yes!
I’m wondering if I should start the Renulek over again. The colours... yucky...
As it is, I'm not liking the beads and I can’t believe I ordered the thread colours I did...
What do you think? Start over on different thread? I wouldn't add beads either if I start over. Early days but I must decide.
Morimoto looks fantastic! All I can say about the other is that you'd better decide before the rounds get too big.
ReplyDeleteWow I guess that is what is nice about the flowers when your done your done looks great! and I love Renukek's doily too can't wait to see the colors of next round and you are faster than I :)
ReplyDeleteMorimoto's is beautiful. What colours? I've no doubts, I'd ask the Colours' Fairy!
ReplyDeleteI like the Morimoto! I like the yellow and the center of the Renulek. Maybe continue on with those and cut off the fuschia?
ReplyDeleteYour colours are lovely on renuleks mat it's up to you if you don't like them better to decide now before you do too much more and then say you don't like it.
ReplyDeleteLove to Mr G

I knew you would get that round done on the first doily!!! :) Looks fabulous!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe spring doily looks nice too!! :) I am sure whatever you decide will be great!! :)
Morimoto looks wonderful - can't wait to see it when it's finished. The other one....can't help with that decision, but it's easier (for me) to keep going on a project when I like the way the colors look, like the thread....beads....etc. I've found that even when I really DON'T like the color(s) I'm using, even when I think it's just awful and have to force myself to finish it, SOMEBODY will love those same colors. (Black and yellow, for instance - I'm just no crazy about the combination, but I have a friend who loves the way they look together, and wears black and yellow quite often. I guess colors/color combinations are truly an individual thing.)
ReplyDeleteWhatever you decide to do, it will look lovely when it's finished.

Stephanie, I do that as well. It's a rare project indeed that I will not finish, whether I like it or not. : )
DeleteThanks, Everyone, for helping me decide. I am starting again, and just keeping the centre as is without the fushcia. : )
ReplyDeleteYour determination is inspiring. I wouldn't dare start again knowing the hours it's taken me so far :). But, you wouldn't enjoy tatting each round if you didn't like the colors to this point!
ReplyDeleteThe Morimoto is looking great! The other - well, if I don't like the colors I have a terrible time working on it. It looks like you are starting over, which if you don't like it now is probably a good idea.
ReplyDeleteRight on!, : )
Deletep.s. - if you do decide to stick with the colors you started for the WIOSNA 2015 doily - check out Martha Ess's blog - she's got pink, yellow and *green* so far. Maybe adding some green would improve the way you see it? Of course, I made a mistake - attached Row 4 wrong somehow - and ended up cutting off both the partial Row 4 AND all of Row 3. :-) Didn't like Row 3 in that color when I did it, but was going to leave it and keep going....until I made a mistake, then I decided I may as well replace Row 3 with something I liked better while I had the scissors in my hand. :-)

There is nothing wrong with the colors that you choose for renulek's doily. But , if you don't like them, stop!
ReplyDeleteThe morimoto is a classic!
