BEADS! COLOURS! FUN!
This looks like LOTS of fun and is a terrific break
from the restless-making Jan Stawasz stuff.
I am really enjoying this tat. : )
The photo shows the first two rows of the Spring pattern, which were posted Friday.
Umintsuru is tatting this with me. Does anyone else wish to join us?
Renulek’s new tat-along is here.
Can you see the beads?
I’m using what is left of my Karey Solomon HDT, #40, and the rest will be #40 Lizbeth. I don’t have much of it and am trying to use all my #40 up.
This gold thread is WAY better than the red I am using for the Morimoto pattern, which has gotten very thin as I get to the end of the ball and is splitting like crazy.
I'm definitely considering joining in on that one. Must finish giraffe socks first.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with giraffes is that they have very long legs!
DeleteLovely lovely motif!!!!! The beads add more delicate touch to it. Very good work like all your tatting work in the blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lily! I love beads in Renata's patterns. : )
DeleteThat's looks very pretty, I did see your beads after i enlarged the picture, very nice they fit in nicely,
ReplyDeleteCan I join in with you both.
Love to Mr G
Margaret
Neat color choices!
ReplyDeleteI've started! I just wonder if I will be able to keep up? I am using size 20 Lizbeth, which could be a mistake, but it's what I have. I may end up with a tablecloth! Did you start Round 2 with the 5-5 chain?
ReplyDeleteYours looks wonderful with the beads :)
Hi Cindy,
DeleteNo I started with a ring that joins the last row. Easier! Also good for the end join and sewing in. For me, anyway. as I inevitably get confused at the last stitch. Always. : )
Thanks - that worked great. I was having a hard time figuring out where to start - also having that confused conversation with myself on how it would end!

DeleteSo happy to see the I'll have the cosmos you of Margaret, Jane and Cindy! The more the definitely merrier. : ))
ReplyDelete...make that "company" Damned spell-checker...
DeleteI just started Renulek's WIOSNA 2015 late last night. Might not be able to keep up as the piece gets bigger (got several other things with deadlines) but I'll keep at it until it's finished. I've started mine in Sulky #12-wt Cotton Blendables. I had been planning to use a Valdani quilting/machine embroidery thread, but forgot where I put the two spools I'd been saving for this sort of thing, so went with the Sulky - I KNEW where I'd stashed those spools. ;-)
ReplyDeleteRight! The more, the merrier! So far, my plans are to use a single color (hey, it's a 'gently' variegated colorway), but who knows....that could change as we tat. :-)

Hi Stephanie,
DeleteNice! I can’t find my Sulky spools! Last I saw them I was sending samples to someone and now I can’t find them! So, it’ Lizbeth #40 for me. Can’t wait to see what you are up to. : )
Yes, Fox, I can see the beads is these very sharp photographs, and,MR G's hairs. Spring is in the air!
ReplyDeletePretty start!!! Can't wait to see the finished project!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't really see the beads, but it's very pretty!
