That looks fabulously stunning. The little beige rings look like flower buds. It looks very different in red but I love it. Congrats! Now for the Corona by Ben Fikkert; I am ready to start, as soon as I figure out what colours to use. I was think of a dark colour for the ovals.
Thanks, Tatters, for following me along with this one. I enjoyed it, but there certainly was a lesson to be heeded in patience here; as there was a lot of un-tatting. A lot! Fox : )
Stunning and beautiful mat, well done, It is hard to find the right background to photo anything, but it looks so lovely the background stills bends in. Love to Mr G Margaret
... hallo Fox, great work... love the change on different backgrounds..the cuty white buds on grey and the beautiful center flower on white...the middle doesn't appear to be tatting, looks more like crochted.. I have to read your earlier posts to find out what it is...best wishes and happy tatting...Guni
Thanks, Diane. I was tight on track for March 1st! So, I want to take a few days to play with the Renulek and one other small motif and then will look at it. Still intimidated just thinking about it.,
Beautiful doily. Love the green contrasting colors in the flowers. The darker background makes the thread look like a size 10. Amazing what lighting can do to your perception in photography. Too bad a good photo can't erase the mistakes in my work.
Wow! It is so pretty! It is amazing how the different backgrounds make it look like a different piece! Kind of like the white/gold or blue/black dress debate burning up the web right now! :)
It looks very different on the gray background! I like the final edging, it makes the edge look heavier -- really finishes it off!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marty!
DeleteVery nice it is fun to view with different backgrounds and like the edging too!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! It really does look different on the darker background - like a totally different piece.

This is beautiful! Funny how different backgrounds make the piece *itself* look so different.

Very beautiful! It might have been hard to get a good picture on the dark background but the lighter spots show up much better on it. Very nice!
