Wow! It looks wonderful!! As for the button, that button looks fairly large, maybe you would enjoy a smaller button? I don't like trying to get the picots in the holes, but that's more because I don't like worrying with a hook. Other than that, I like the outcome. :o)
You're really making progress, well done! Yeah, I'm a bit dubious about working with buttons myself, though I thought the same about beads at one stage and then became a convert.
I have plenty of buttons to experiment with, but I haven't tried yet. When I do try tatting with buttons, I'm pretty sure I'll use small buttons. Save the big ones for something else!
You're putting me in the mood to tat a doily. I think it will have to be one of Iris Niebach's. It's been a while, and I do enjoy the challenge of her doilies!
Looking brilliant, I am also not into buttons, Snowflakes and angels are taking my time up at the moment. Have another craft fair on Wednesday I hope it's better than the last one never sold a thing Love to Gian Margaret
I had a very bad day I never sold anything, total waste of time, A field mice might have given the day a little twist, I have another one tomorrow I am more hopeful can be any worse than Saturday. Love to Gian Margaret

Yeah, that convert stuff is what I am worrying about... buttons, buttons on the brain...

Oh yes - now I want to tat an Iris pattern as well! They look positively tiny compared to this mother-of-all-doilies!

Buttons make me bilious!
