This is incredibly boring to tat and I think it is going to look like a jam jar cover on the baby! How's that for an excuse not to finish? I WILL probably, however, as I am just obsessive enough not to cave to the "quitting gene".
This is not a fun, play-tat break from the TAT exercise either, which is rivalling the last one in terms of driving me straight up the wall!
I do so want to try this little sample of fabbo thread from Tatskool:
Sweet, isn't it?
It is called "Flame Lantana" and is part of her new Rainbow Bright Transition series. Yum.
And look at these Sweet Shop beauties!
Oh, my lucky shuttles!
Now, back to TAT.....Anon,
Just think once you have finished it you'll wander what all of the fuss was about. And you will be happy that you have done it. Love the thread the colours are lovely!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, you do want to finish it! It will be beautiful! I know it will! Lucky you... new thread!
ReplyDeleteHeck yeah, you want to finish! It is going to be so sweet! But first, go wild and tat something up with some of that BEAUTIFUL thread you've got. Sometimes it's best to just give in and do what you really, REALLY want to do, if only to clear your head or it will keep lurking in the back of your mind making everything else seem like drudgery. Least that's what I think!

I know, I know..... Yes, I will finish, I think! LOL!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I have picked another colour for the flowers at the front, but you're right! I am being conservative! I should pick what I REALLY want! As long as it is the right size....or maybe not!
Fox : ))
Actually, I think it's rather lovely!- but I am sporadically, and lately-come to your blog, so I don't really know what it's meant to be! - a bonnet? - or a doily? Onward and Upward to the finish line. I've just ordered some new threads from Tatskool as well - very exciting!
ReplyDeleteHey Fox!
ReplyDeleteActually, I was talking about doing a different motif with the new thread because it sounds like you REALLY want to and as long as you are wanting to do THAT, but forcing yourself to work on the bonnet, the bonnet is going to feel like quick sand. By giving in to the urge, maybe you will clean your palate and be ready to settle back in with the bonnet. It does sound cute to have a color for the flowers around the bonnets edge, but yeah, I THINK you had better save Flame Lantana for something else! :)))
:) Ann
Come on! You can do it! Finish that lovely bonnet. We all want to see just how pretty it will be!!
ReplyDeleteThe bonnet will be lovely and really sweet on a baby. Those outer rounds just take so much tatting that if feels like slow slogging, but persevere, you will be glad you did. The new thread colours look positively edible!
ReplyDeleteYou Must finish the rosette bonnet otherwise we'll all perish from relentless suspense! *giggles*
ReplyDeleteOoh, you're the first to post about that lovely Flame Lantana thread from Tatskool. (Doesn't she come up with the prettiest colorway names?) You've scooped us all and now we're positively drooling! Do share what you tat with it. Those bright & sunny colors are perfect for breaking out of the winter doldrums.
Blow the bonnet, make something hot!! and flaming.
