Worth The Wait

Finally, it looks so much better!

I suppose the whole technique is clicking into place in my fingers and my brain. I was at the end of my knotted rope.

Here, I learned to add in new thread more neatly,
and how to join up to the new row in the round.

Another new stitch - box stitch. : )

  2. Wow, I gave it another whirl this morning and found a Youtube that was really nice, but may stop, I was wondering if this is from your book did it come in? Love how neatly you added thread looking expert!

  3. I'm using Meditteranean Knotted Lace and Priscilla Armenian Lace. Both. Also, I go from left to right, not right to left, which some do.

  5. I like the Union Jack displaying your tatting, this pattern is in Mary Koniors book and you have done a lovely piece so well done.
As for you other piece I have not tried box stitch, something new to try.
    Have a nice day

  7. Nice. Love reading about your learning process. Knots are regular now, you improved a lot in a short time. The power of your perseverance...

  8. "At the end of your knotted rope" sounds much more dangerous than being "at the the end of your rope"! I hope there are no trees nearby. :-)
Looking good. I expect there will be knotted doilies on the horizon.
