White's Not Right

Blue is better... Cut the white off as it was just too bulky and felt very stiff compared to the relative softness of the Japanese threads.

I do like the look of these two blue threads together and there is a slight sheen to this thread.

  1. I do like the sheen I think I can see it, and just makes me want to see it in person, I can see where all one color is a good thing to do. I wonder how you mix the two colors. the last time i did that I undid the thread and attached it in another room of the house, wondering if I looked crazy. Is this how you mixed the two? or did you just wind two directly on the shuttle from both spools and did you twist it?

    1. Ha ha! I just put the two ends together and wind. Easy on a bobbin. Nothing fancy and I don't even twist it!

  2. It is a very pretty soft blue - if it hadn't been for the shuttle in your picture, I would almost have thought that I was reading Diane's blog! What is the brand of this thread please?

  3. You're right. I did like the white next to the blue, but if it doesn't feel right, snip it off! Besides, you can never go wrong with blue! :-)

  5. I really liked the white next to the blue - until I saw today's picture, all blue. The blue looks MUCH better. It's lovely!

  6. Very pretty. It looks shiny and glittery in the photo. I will be following along from the sidelines as I don't have the stamina to finish such large projects!

  7. Looks lovely, I like the use of two threads gives the colour a shaded look
