Fixed But Flawed

I fixed this as best I could but I don’t think that the next row will work, as there is too much space between the large rings where there are 3 instead of 2 small rings.

I shall leave it; it is pretty and the next row might ruin it because of the large space now at the one end.

ORIGINAL ERROR

FIXED, ADDING EXTRA RING ON RIGHT SIDE

Maybe I will give it to someone who is not a tatter
and will not see the difference!

  2. It is beautiful, if you are really unhappy, I would use it on a book cover or and sew miscellaneous pretty beads and pearls down on the mistake parts. that's my plan for the less than perfect ones :)

  3. I don't think that even a tatter would notice if you hadn't circled the discrepancies in red! It's a beautiful doily! Wonderful design and colors!

  4. Thanks Tatters! I might sew it on a t-shirt.

  5. Now that you've circled the flaws, I can see them. Otherwise, I don't think anyone other than you would have known.

  6. My grandmother told me once that a machine makes things perfectly the same and an artist makes things that are like no other. She said we should view these things not as mistakes but instead as markers in works that are done by hand. The piece is beautiful.

  9. Argh so infuriating ! I think we must look it attentively to see the mistake, you saved it very well. In your place, I would just have cried, shouted and put it in a dustbin. I admire.
