I finally got on to In tatters and now got to figure out how to use it! I found this pattern and I already have it in his book I have, but yours looks better :) Cause you can see all the work! looks great on plaid too!
Wow! As annoying as finishing off lots of little ends can be, I sometimes find it a nice change to have a round composed of little motifs rather than an everlasting round. It seems to make the tatting go by faster...

ReplyDeleteGood! Then you can get a copy of this pattern. It isn't in his books; you have to get it from Grace or Karen at InTatters. Read the thread there. : )
DeleteIt looks totally worth all the effort you are putting into it!!! It's stunning even unfinished!! :)
ReplyDeleteIs 'monster doily ' its real name?
ReplyDeleteNO, Tally! Just my irreverent sense of irony. I'm surprised I haven't received a scolding or worse from the Tatting Police by now!
DeleteLooks great! At least each scallop doesn't take too long.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tatters for following my progress and such encouraging comments. They really boost my tatting mojo.: )
ReplyDeleteThis really is dazzling tatting, m'dear! I agree, it looks especially fetching on that plaid! Oh la la!
ReplyDeleteThat round I do not want to do! You're doing great.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are keeping with it, it looks a monster doily, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteLove to Gian
Margaret
Looking splendid, you're going along quickly!
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Fox!

ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous. I would prefer continuous round tatting to all those motifs!
