Using the same #80 Lizbeth and another lighter green, I find this so much brighter. The last colour tones I found to be a bit depressing. Reminded me of something but I don’t know what.
I finally did find the mistake in the other doily (had to look really hard) and can see how that could easily happen. I hope you do find a use for it, as others have suggested.
I'm amazed how far along you are on this new one! Looking great. Still can't imagine using size 80 thread!
Did you display your prize-winning doily at the other fair in February?
I liked your other spring doily but this one is very pretty too! I do love that variegated thread and the lighter middle makes the whole thing brighter, as you say.
I like this one, too! Wish I'd started mine in something 'red.' ;-) I am liking my dark blues, though, too. Next time, maybe I'll use red. ;-) StephanieW
Wow! Looks great in this thread, Fox! Beautiful tatting.

ReplyDeleteThis one is beautiful too, but I still love the other one!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Love the colours :). Hope this one goes smoothly for you :).
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI am so sad about previous one:(
I admire your consistency and I keep my fingers crossed for success!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! It looks good at this stage too. Whenever a doily looks good at various stages, I am torn whether to continue or not!
ReplyDeleteRenulek finished the doily today/yesterday, and it looks very finished so I would recommend continuing if you can keep it up!
