This is from a pattern in Priscilla Tatting Book No. 2” Julia E. Sanders, 1915, that Renulek has featured on her blog. I was inspired by her post and just had to tat this.
It is not in the Sanders book that I have and I had trouble printing it. Not too sure why. I ended up taking a screen shot of the pattern, saving it as a JPEG and then printing it off from there. Seems a bit of a circuitous route to get hard copy...

I WON!
WOW! Tabatha hosted a giveaway and I seem to have the winning ticket. Thank you, Tabatha!
I always love the clarity and color you have. The leaves are beautiful! I like your version of the doily too.
ReplyDeleteLove how those leaves turned out! Congratulations on your winnings, that's a nice rich-looking blue on that thread.
ReplyDeleteYour tatting is great, especially like the leaves. Oh lucky you winning such wonderful goodies. I have now joined Tabatha's blog, a bit late but thanks for pointing be to her.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful motif, gorgeous maple leaves, well done on your win.
ReplyDeleteHows Gian these days.

I can see I'm going to have to get this pattern - you make it look so easy and beautiful in your colour choices!
ReplyDeleteThe leaves are stunning! (I absolutely love the color of the maple leaves!)The little doily is lovely. Great work.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win. Wonder what you'll make with you goodies?
Your maple leaves are magnificent! Love the colors. Don't the beads add the perfect pizazz in this design? Can't wait to make a few of these for earrings! Will you be wearing yours?
ReplyDeleteThe Priscilla motif is a stunner. Love the quatrefoils around the outer edge. Your chain work here is impeccable.
Woo HOO! Congratulations on your giveaway win!
Fabulous leaves!!! Great motif! :)
ReplyDeleteTesting this comment.
ReplyDeleteI'm delighted (and shocked) to see that my 'test' comment went through after all! This has been an issue for many commenters for several days, so I'm hoping Blogger is solving the problem. They are apparently making major changes to Blogger, but when they do that, things also seem to get goofed up!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I wanted to comment on those beautiful leaves! Wonderful colors!
I also love the way you added the contrast color to the 'Priscilla' pattern, although I couldn't find the pattern in any of the Priscilla books in the Antique Pattern Library. It's puzzing where that came from!
At this point I'm aware of your boo-boo from the hook on your tatting shuttle! I'm hoping to comment on that post also!
Very neat maple leaf designs & wonderful colours!
