I've got to hand it to her. She has great ideas and this one is perfect.
You see, I have had the privilege of being the human that belonged to that magnificent feline. I also wanted to honour Misha's life in some way, so I am following Maebh's lead, and we now have a surprise give-away, ready to mail.
There are lots of goodies inside, including a couple of vintage shuttles that I am passing along to the winner.
The names of those of you who left such kind, wonderful comments on this blog are those I shall submit to the random generator this evening. I shall post the winner tomorrow.
Your thoughts have buoyed me through the most horrid hours, as I try to come to terms with the loss of my Misha. I thank you, each and everyone, for those warm and caring sentiments. They meant so very much.
P.S. Misha was a HE! Everybody ALWAYS got that wrong - even my wonderful vet!
I'm glad to hear that you're coming to terms with things - losing a pet is never easy, and although I haven't been following your blog for a very long time, I can tell your cat was (and will always be) very special to you. :-) And it's very generous of you to do a giveaway under these circumstances - WE should be sending YOU gifts! :-P
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that you have Maebh to help you with your loss! What a nice way to honour Misha's life. Animals: they are hard on your heart. Take care!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Journey - we should be sending you gifts :) After all the love & care you gave to her, Misha now has the chance to watch over you. Enjoy her peace.

What a wonderful memorial for such a dear feline.
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous idea! I know things will be rough for you for the first few weeks, but as you know, it gets a little easier every day. Misha will always be a part of you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to remember someone special, I so wish I had thought of that when I experienced loss. I will remember it tho as I have many smaller loves in my life and their passing is always cause for so much feeling and so many memories. Thank you in advance for the wonderful way to celebrate them. Be at peace.

Wonderful Fox, I agree with others that you are the one who should be getting gifts for comfort. With all that has been going on with me I haven't been posting on many blogs and am just now getting back to catching up on my reading of them, and I missed the post of your sweet Maebv passing, I am not expecting to be entered in the drawing, but I wanted to be sure to pass on my condolences to you. I have some very special pets who seem to have replaced my children since they moved out, and I would be devastated if I lost them, so my warmest hugs go out to you:)

So sorry to hear about you Misha. We have 3 cats, two of which we have had for quite a number of years. They are members of the family so I can totally understand your grief.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Diane
He was a beautifull friend to you and I'm glad you have found this wonderfull way to honor his memory and life. Don't think of your own sadness but on his joy that he spent his life being loved and taken care of by you, not out on the streets. You don''t need to enter my name I just wanted to offer my condolences as a fellow tatter and cat lover.
ReplyDeleteHiya Fox,
ReplyDeleteIsn't it interesting how our pets become our best friend? They never have an unkind word to say, they're great listeners and (well, I could go on and on). You took care of each other ;-)
