Yarnplayer's, Celery #40 #22 Motif Challenge
Goodness! I really did this!
This one is for you, Elisadusud - with many thanks.
Lots of boo-boos, but a good beginning. I am pleased.
Lots of boo-boos, but a good beginning. I am pleased.
I forgot to post this:
I tatted it for agasunset and used the metallic thread that Suneeti sent to me along with many other coloured samples of metallic thread. I love all the colours, but I've got to tell you - it is so difficult to tat with - especially that small centre.
Grrrr.
Anon,
Woo-hoo!!! You did it!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth are lovely, but the top one is beautiful! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI am tatting a purse with a mettalic thread which now has a lot of loose ends. How did you get the end in? I don't think I have a needle small enough. Leeanne lvb56003@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteHi, Leanne,
ReplyDeleteI used the needle in the picture - a regular sharp sewing needle. Tight, but it worked.
Fox : )
how did you figure out to do that... i cant really get my head around it by looking at the pictures.?
ReplyDeleteYes! You did it very well! I did not see it. It is beautifull. Kisses
ReplyDeleteLove that celery coloured thread!!!
ReplyDeleteShannon,
ReplyDeleteDo what? Clunies? You have to find them on various sites, or there is a little booklet from Handy Hands that has instructions.
That is how I learned. It would be far easier of you could find a real live person to show you how to do it.
Oh yes, I also learned these in the TAT course - the third part of it.
Go to Elisadusud's blog - the link is above - and see the best clunies in the world!

Love the doily what a wonderful job you have done on your cluny's and the colours are lovely, also I have seen your sweet camel! That is what inspired me to make mine.
ReplyDeletei gues how to group the clunys in the center.
ReplyDeletenever mind fox...found the right area...so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so envious. Your cluny motif is just beautiful. It looks just lovely in that colour.
ReplyDeleteCamel??
ReplyDeleteSorry Fox! I got you mixed up with another Tatter must have had a blonde moment!
ReplyDeleteI love this snowflake and thank you again for giving it to me. You know how much I appreciate your effort of putting metallic flower inside. I have it attached to my flash drive and i'm looking at it all the time!! It reminds me of great friend that inspired me so much and that I had a great time with here in NYC.
ReplyDeleteDid you see the picture of it with my thing?
Its right here:

Your work looks awesome! And I love the cluny motif! :)
ReplyDeleteYour cluny motif is MAGNIFICENT!
ReplyDeleteOf the metallics that Suneeti sent the red is the only one so far to give problems, the blue, and bronze tat ok.
This cluny motif is so attractive in these colors! Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteI doubt that I have the patience for clunies, but you certainly have 'conquered' them!
And your tatting over rings is also excellent. Haven't tried that yet, either! Nice placement of beads.
You are one busy gal!!
Hi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteConquered? Not so! Take a look at Elisadusud's site; that is what I strive for! Her tatting is fabulous. But, thanks for the encouragement!
