Fox, I can't think of enough superlatives to give this piece the praise it certainly deserves. It is absolutely spectacular! The only thing that could possibly make it better would be to have it displayed next to a certain blue-eyed handsome gentleman who allows you to live under his roof! ;)
Wow it's wonderful, I can add more superlatives in my own language, "spettacolare, magnifico, eccezionale"! Congrats for your patience and determination.
I like the DMC Perle colour as well, Maureen. It is very pleasing. I hope my daughter-in-law likes it. She has chosen not to see the piece till it is finished. : )
Yes! The hard part is over. The rest is going go be tedious because the work is so large, but the pattern is straightforward and there will be no more beads to add.
Maureen, I was just fretting about this. Elena used 8 balls of this thread, but I am just starting the 7th, and have one more and I wonder if I will need more... Five more rows, but one has a lot of clovers.
The mind continues to be boggled, both at the design by Jan and the skill and extreme patience of the tatter, who has also added beads! I get weak in the knees just looking at it!
Looking good! I need to get back to mine, I've had far too many breaks
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to find words oh maybe one, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! You should frame it when it's done!

ReplyDeleteIs that the hard part done now? - it's been a huge undertaking, and I still love it in the plain and classic colour.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tatters!

ReplyDeleteWow! It is going to be a magnificent piece, perfect heirloom.
ReplyDeleteDat is een heel erg mooi kanten tafelkleed!
ReplyDeleteFox, how many of the little balls of DMC perle will it take? - you must have needed to buy a couple of boxes of thread for this one!
