I have begun this pattern more times than I ever will admit over the last few days. Last night -late- I sent a pathetic email saying I could not do it and was taking a break.
Of course, ten minutes later I had rewound the bobbins!
Here are some of my paltry beginnings...
Another Iris?
ReplyDeleteI am about to send a poison pen letter to Iris!!! : ))
DeleteOooooh, I love that bright colour. What is it? I'm sure your mojo will be back soon.
ReplyDelete...a bit of Perfect Quilter. All gone now. As is my delinquent tatting mojo. : (
DeletePretty :)
ReplyDeleteHi Fox,
ReplyDeleteI only asked Wendy earlier how you were getting on, and here's your post, oh dear I thought it was a lovely pattern, I must admit when I looked at it, I tried to work out which way to go around the motif. I then realised that's it's the picture on the cover of the book.
I am watching both your progresses, and look forward to seeing it when you have both finished.
Love to Gian
Margaret
This will be pretty. I know you will persevere and conquer the pattern.
ReplyDeleteYour starts look pretty good to me!! :) I love the colors too!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis must be a family thing, just went to comment on this post and found that my sister had said what I was going to say!!! Love the colour of the thread, it zigs!!!
ReplyDeleteAgain you have challenged yourself beyond your belief of ability....and again you will conquer it. There is nothing on this earth that you cannot tat Fox!! Just get out some more coins for the swear jar, less think-more tat and Allons-y!!! xxxx
ReplyDeleteBig smiles! Thank you. I do love #10!
DeleteIt's so easy to make a mistake. I have unpicked several times, that I could have gouged a hole in my index finger. It is worth the effort because it is looking quite pretty now. You are not going to quit now are you?
ReplyDeleteI think my comment was eaten....
ReplyDeleteLove the thread-- it looks like stained glass!
You'll get there.
