Ha!
This is tatted in Sulky and DMC Special.
Some improvement, n'est ce pas?
Speaking of improvement...
I cannot help myself. The pattern is so lovely; I fear I did not do it justice.
It is just not fit in its recent state to present as a gift.
Thus... #80 pink and gray instead...it will be smaller but what do you think?
Hmm... This picots are too BIG!
We begin anew... Better.
Using Mom’s beads this time..
I learned as much about tatting this year as in the previous 25. From you I specifically learned: if I want to take my tatting seriously, I will have to be brave and work hard.
ReplyDeleteThis color combination is even nicer! Très chic!!
What a wonderful compliment! You made my day, Tally Tatty. Thank you.
DeleteFox : ))
I love it! And I love your beautiful doily too :)
ReplyDeleteNin.
Thank you Ninetta. You are my inspiration!
Deletexxoo Fox : ))
Oh very nice both of them so beautiful and delicate!
ReplyDeleteYour new wreath is looking excellent Fox! And I too think that pink and grey together is elegant.
ReplyDeleteI thought the first doily with the mistake I couldn't see was lovely! - but I can understand that you want perfection for a gift. The only thing is that in size 80 it won't be really functional, will it? - too tiny, even though pink-an-grey has always been one of my favourite combinations.
ReplyDeleteI tried that wreath years ago and couldn't manage it - yours is wonderful.
I believe, the recipient, like me, has absolutely no use for tatted anything!
DeleteHowever, again like me, she appreciates the art form and finds it beautiful - not functional.
You have described the perfect recipient, Fox! - treasure her.........
DeleteI love the wreath! The pink and grey are lovely together!
ReplyDeleteThe wreath looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteI'll join the chorus of I love pink and gray together. I have little "mini-doilies" scattered around my apartment. Several of them are on the little table next to my comfy chair, and others are on bookshelves in front of the books.
That's what I do - scatter them about and change them constantly so I can see my tatting!
DeletePretty wreath, I'm glad you have the hang of it now. Splendid safety pins you have there.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jane!
DeleteLuckily for the wreath, I have exactly 10 of these little beauties!
such a l♥vely wreath!!

Thanks, Margaret. It is a right bugger to tat! It is still not right, but it is as good as it gets
DeleteYou have a great weekend too.
xxoo Fox and you-know-who.
Hi Fox and Gian
DeleteThanks for the comment, It cheered me up, it's a horrible day here raining and dark, not been the best day to draw people into the market, it's been a day of very little sales, they have a show on tonight and the highlight was watching them rehease on the stage. The men of course enjoyed the girls more but that's men for you. At least it made a bad day less boring. We women were looking and thinking we wish we were that thin, and able to bend our bodies, dancing to Christmas music with moves we older ladies could only dream of doing. they had pole dancing on to Christmas music with very little on, the men's glasses were steaming up.
I hope you know who enjoyed his treat.
Margaret
