Two large tatting projects that is!
The HN is huge; you all must be sick of hearing about THAT one, and The Boss’s cap, though minuscule compared to the Honey Napkin, is still larger than my normal tatting projects.
So I have nothing worthwhile to show you yet, EXCEPT Day 4 of Jane’s most entertainingly fun and amusing T.I.A.S.
Beautiful 'straight-line' with the Catherine Wheel joins! Love the thread, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathy! It is Karey’s thread - always gorgeous.

When I saw the Boss's cap, I thought that it might be too deep for her - if you somehow made a narrower border, or left off a round, it would probably fit perfectly, and take a lot less tatting!
ReplyDeleteAnd I always enjoy the Honey Napkin, every time you show it's picture.
My Catherine Wheel joins didn't work.....
Maureen, I figured that Jan’s cap sits high on the model’s forehead and she is an adult, so I thought the cap would/might fit The Boss and sit down to her eyebrows. Maybe I am being too hopeful?
DeleteI am afraid to leave off a round because of the way the last row is set u to attach... I will have to ponder the pattern again...
I was dismayed that I showed the back side of my piece here, as I am so pleased with how the CWJs
look - on the other side!!!

Very pretty colors Fox.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy having fun with Jane's puzzle
How goes the packing?
Thanks!
DeletePacking? I move in a week and have not packed one box! : ))
Fox
This is a beautiful color! And your tatting is so even and lovely. I gave the CWJ for this and was pleased with the result but I wasn't sure if you count the CWJ as one of the DS? Because you don't count a regular join of corse but the CWJ looks like a DS. Do you know?
ReplyDeleteJust think one week until beautiful laundry!
Michelle, Really? Even AND lovely? I love that compliment! Thanks!
DeleteOh yes! Lookout Lovely Laundryroom...
I do not count the CWJs as part of a stitch. Not sure about anyone else though!

Poor Mr. G. I hope the boxes - that have not been packed yet - will not disturb his sensibilities!
