This is perfect tatting! I really admire the way you repeat a piece until you are satisfied with it. Good idea to tat a sample of the edging and number the rings and chains, too.
I can also see the effect that your tattoo is having on your picots.
Isdihara, I don't think I would do it, as the curve of the ornament might just push the three chains outwards, maybe causing them to separate! But you might tat tighter than me... Try it! It would be lovely if it worked. Good idea.
Congratuations, Fox. They are all lovely. I'm impressed with your pattern notation notes, too!

You've done it! You have successfully tatted my favorite edging in gorgeous colors AND beads! What a marvel you are!

Yes! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful motif! The onion rings are so perfect too...
ReplyDeleteI notice that you are using my design '4 Ring Snowflake' on your header. It looks pretty with the beads and I like the way you have used the colours.

ReplyDeleteA question RE: The onion ring motif from "The Tatters Treasure Chest" --
ReplyDeleteDo you think this would work well as an ornamentation on a satin-covered ball? (Perhaps one for center front and a second one for center back?)
