I love that book! The motif looks very pretty in Yarnplayer's thread!
THe motif looks lovely in this thread. I love this motif, it is one of my favorite!!
Your color experiments give older motifs and patterns new and exciting looks! As many times as I've looked at this book, I never paid attention to this pattern! I feel so fortunate that the three books that were available to me after I learned to tat in 1989-90 were "Festive Tatting" and "Tatting for Today" plus "Christmas Angels and Other Tatting Patterns" all published in the early 1980s and available at the craft stores! What would I have done without them? You've now inspired me to take another look at them!
I didn't even recognize that as one of the snowflake patterns in the book - which I was looking through last month. It looks great in those colors! It's amazing how going from white to colors changes the look so much. Wonderful!
I love the colours you did this motif in!!! Now I have to go and look at some of my older patterns for new ideas!
Wow! The colors and the pattern both make each other look fantastic! :)
Your choice of colours is as usual very pretty.
Admirable, alluring alliteration augments awesome achievement....and the thread is pretty too!
Maureen,All awesome acknowledgements absolutely appreciated and accepted!♥ Fox : )
Thanks, Everyone,I am glad you all like the thread, because there is a lot still on the shuttles, so I have another "celery" on the go!♥ Fox : )
It's beautiful! Amazing what a difference color can make.
Well done, Fox! Great use of color. Like Kathy, that book was one of the early ones in my collection. Haven't looked through it in years! Now I must look again. Thanks for the inspiration.
Lovely! You picked the right colours for this design.
Love the colours and the pattern is very sweet!
Hi Fox,I like the way you have refreshed an old pattern with a very modern thread, Not seen this book although I do have some books from the 1970's I think I must get them out and see what they will look like in the new threads we have today. You have given me food for thought.Margaret
Hey - I have that book! I think I better take it out for another look. It's amazing how color makes patterns so much more appealing - it looks great in celery :)
TypsTatting, That is the #40 Milford that I received from you! I love this green and it is a wonderful background or chain colour for a lot of my green variegated threads.♥Fox : )
Thanks Fox, I didn't recognise the green but I now do it does compliment the other green!
A mi también me encantan los patrones antiguos y este tiene cosas lindas. En verde el patrón te quedo precioso.
I love the pattern and believe I have the book to. Now I have to try and find it! I just can never wait or I might forget. Thanks for sharing the information..I'm not getting anything done today, again...
