If there is anyone there who should not be, let me know.  I have put Sally after Jane, because for mailing costs, this makes sense.  I do not know where everyone lives, so I am not putting your names in any order except the one that occurred when you responded to my post.  This is the order you did so.

IsDihara has kindly said that anyone who does not know where to send the book along to, can get in touch with her.

The book begins its travels tomorrow, when I shall mail it to Gina.  I figure that three weeks is about the fairest number for keeping it - just a bit longer than a library book.  If you need it for longer, let me know.

That about sums it up.  You can follow the list yourselves, which shall be inside the front cover of the book.  Keep it in there and send it along to the next person in line, after stroking your name off the list.

IT WOULD SIMPLIFY THINGS IF EVERYONE COULD SEND THEIR ADDRESS TO THE NEXT PERSON ON THE LIST!

Enjoy the book!

***a little aside...  I swiped that bit of design on the banner from somewhere out there in Cyberspace and I do not remember where.  If anyone knows the artist, let me know as I do not want any copyright issues!  If I have upset anyone please contact me and I will replace the design immediately.

Now - someone asked about how we carry our tatting.  I do not leave my apartment without this:

The carrying of this simple pouch prevents loud outbursts of an undefined nature in public places as a result of living with a complicated,  ADD, dyslexic brain for a long, noisy time!

Oh yes, almost forgot - my 19th Motif Challenge:  One of Jon's snowflakes, Aladdin  from her snowflake book, in Lizbeth #20

Anon,

Guess Who Came To Dinner? Magical News! (200th post!)

It is so very late, but I have been instructed to tell Tat-land about the fantastic thing that just happened!

I was invited to dinner with Feargal, visiting Toronto on his world tour and dining with Finnbarr,  his brother from Zurich.  Imagine my surprise, when I realized what these two Leprechauns were up to after dinner, which was, by the way, out of this world -  superb!

Finnbarr was out of control

These two were really overdoing it, not impressing their friend, who gazed on with a bit of disdain, sitting with her legs crossed and shaking her head as she watched their antics. She  is a Leprechaun named MAEBH, who has shown up most unexpectedly.

 SHE IS MY LEPRECHAUN!

Yes, I can hardly believe it myself!  I must use Jane's word: gobsmacked!  That' s me!

To be honest, I knew I was to meet Feargal and Finnbarr, but in my wildest dreams I never expected to be owned by a Leprechaun.  And now, I realize that it will not be all easy - especially with one that has such a fierce personality!  She has insisted I inform Tat-land of her arrival before I sleep and it is 2:00a.m.! Maebh does not care. ' Type,' she insists.  Ah, what can I do, but her bidding?

Feargal has gone to sleep. He got sleepy after planning what he wants to see, while he is in Toronto.  It is quite a list.  He snores loudly, by the way.  Could wake the neighbours.  Don't know how I will ever sleep tonight.

He checked out right after he finished his list, but Maebh wanted to see her new digs and was insistent on meeting her new sibling , THE CAT.

She will not call him, by his given name.  'Maybe another time', she said.

It went well.  Actually, Maebh and THE CAT spent several hours getting acquainted, and seem to have a lot in common.  Maebe will not tell me what they discussed in such low whispers, yet, in spite of their growing rapport, she still will not utter his name.

Meabh is a wonderful.  She is the first leprechaun to be allowed to wear a skirt!  A bit of a rebel, headstrong, and named after .......   I'll tell you all this later. Stay tuned.

Good night, or rather, good morning, from Feargal, me
and
MAEBH
 Isn't she the sweetest thing?

An Idea to Celebrate Tatting

Remember Angeline H. Crichlow's self-published book, Let's Tat! ? IsDihara wrote about it HERE.  This is a classic book and I managed to get a copy online.  There are not many copies and it is tatting treasure; also, a fun read, but it sits on my shelf, forgotten most of the time.

To celebrate International Tatting Day, 2010, I would like to share this old book with other tatters who are interested in reading it.  So, I will mail it to the first person who shows interest, and then she, or he, can mail it to the next interested tatter. I'd like to see it off my bookshelf indefinitely, appreciated by new readers!

What do you think?

Strangely enough, this is my 199th post
since tat-ology began ....

‘Let’s Tat’, by Angeline Chrichlow, is now with Michelle, the 23 recipient of the travelling tatting book since April 2010, almost three years!

The list has been finalized and Angeline has just four more stops before she makes her way back across The Pond and returns home to Canada.

It has been quite a journey. Thank you to everyone who participated in this lovely tatting adventure.  And special thanks to Angeline Crichlow for making the voyage possible. I think she would have approved.

Happy Day to All Tatters!

This is all I have to show, as I have had to CROCHET - yech - this little hat for The Boss!

The motif is Bunny Trim by Erin Holloway and was to be on socks for Mini Boss, but it was way to big for the tiny things, so I thought I would put it on a hat for The Boss -  which I did not have.

So, knowing she loves pink and yellow - which I do NOT - I made this for her late last night.

These will be for Mini Boss!  See the bunny in the fabric...?

Have a GREAT day, Tatters, and let's let the WORLD know what we are about!
