Cutbacks

For once, my totally inadequate sewing skills came to the rescue. I was not pleased with the curved edge of the hankie and none of the borders I attempted worked because of it. The last one I began was adequate, but still not pleasing enough for me to continue.

Finally, it struck me that I had to address the edge of the fabric, not another tatting pattern. So, I got a pair of scissors .... and....

I am sew impressed! : ))

  2. And the hanky is now a bit smaller! - which is always good. It does look better, congratulations on being brave enough to use the scissors.

  9. Oooh, good idea!! I think I might do that to the one I kept back here in Russia! :) (I'm too scared to try to edge anything, let alone the squiggly edged things!)
