Sad, sad, news. Walking around with a glum frown and can't seem to focus on my shuttles. Perhaps some tea and long browse through Mr. Stawasz's lovely books will help. RIP Jan and tat with the angels.
Very sad news for the tatting world. He was indeed a Master of design and innovation, and his tatting was impeccable. He accomplished so much in such a short time.. I'm grateful that the internet made us all aware of his exquisite work through his website and his books.
Coming back to say I just now realized that the motif shown in your photo was sent by Jan with the special shuttles you had ordered from him! What a treasure!
Jan will be tatting with the angels now. We've lost a wonderful, creative person.
ReplyDeleteI don't have Jan's books, but his website was absolutely inspiring. He was a master indeed and his work will live on.
