It would appear that shuttles live dangerously in your company! First the DRS shuttles, now this poor Inox. Let me guess: you were planning another spontaneous remote tatting session and the shuttle fell out of your bag as you were loading the car. It does not look quite damaged enough to have been driven over, so perhaps you stepped on it, or sat on it (no, not in the driveway). RIP, poor Inox.
I have not yet managed to break a shuttle. The worst that has happened is that one of my Roseground silent tatters (which I have the devil of a time controlling because they are just a little too heavy) flew out of my grasp and disappeared down a mahogany ventilation hatch in the floor of my upstairs studio. After a wild ride on the ceiling fan below, it crashed to the ground floor and skittered wildly for several feet. The only damage that I can see is perhaps a slight bend in the hook.
It would be fun to hear other people's stories of shuttle accidents...
Ohhh Fox, how awful. if this is the shuttle from Roseground, you just got, might a flaw or crack have developed in shipping? contact Pat at Roseground they have wonderful customer service.
LOL!!! Thank you all for your wonderful, supportive sentiments! The overwhelming grief would have been unbearable had it not been for your heartfelt sympathy.
