The hankie border is a real challenge. I suppose it is the boredom that sets in; if I find I have made yet another error about four rings back....... Out comes THE PIN - another dollar store, can't tat-without tool.

I have been intrigued by this pattern for a while. Because I am concentrating on the border, I did not want to do a large piece, so, the solution, of course: use Impossibly Small Thread!

ReplyDeletehmmm...I have needles in a pincushion by my chair and needles in a piece of felt in my tatting box for traveling. I wonder if I could put one like this on the pull thing that is attached to my clothing like my tatting hook is on without maiming myself with every join??? I think I better not, but I do like the beaded chain you've got yours on. Easy to find that way. Might do that!
ReplyDeleteHi Gina! The little beads I have attached are USUALLY helpful - but sometimes they get all caught up in the shuttle thread! This always happens at the MOST inappropriate time in the tatting process - you can imagine! But, I find that if I keep the pin close by, at arms length, it usually behaves!

Hi Fox, OOHH love your new picture at the top of the page. Great shuttle with your name on it and the motif with clunies is so cute. I will have to practice clunies someday. They are not my favorite though. I like how you added the beads to the rosette. Have a great day!
