The 'mimi' is finished and delivered...
This is the only kind of small stuff I have been doing, other than practicing the clunies, as I head into the last stretch of the Artisan section of TAT.
A lot of work - but so enjoyable. I hope to be finished by the end of the month, and then I want have some fun with all the things I want to try. There is so much out there to do! And I want to tat it all! : ))

Anon,
Nice work. What's a Mimi? I think we call that an afghan here in the US, LOL! You can think I'm silly, but I've never seen something like that called a Mimi so please forgive my ignorance and educate me.
ReplyDeleteHi,TattingChic!
ReplyDeleteA couple of posts back, when I was complaining - as usual - about my sore arm and the blanket., I mentioned that my eldest grandson calls the blanket I made for him a 'mimi', and a tradition was born. My son called his a 'babaleelee'. Go figure! : )
Very pretty...and I love the card. Congrats on the T.A.T program! Keep going...
ReplyDeleteThe mimi, aka afghan, aka babaleelee is very nice. I like the simple pattern and x's that are in each block. It is crisp, fresh and I'm sure will be very inviting to the little guy. And your tatting embellishments look sweet on that card!

Oh, thanks for the explanation! LOL! Ya got me!!! Obviously I am one of those who mostly looks at the pics, LOL! I'm busted...but that's what happens when you have a jillion blogs in your reader, LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute tradition.
Your card is very lovely.
ReplyDeleteNow that there is one heck of a mimi. Good job! (super-cute card too!)
ReplyDeleteTattingChic, LadyShuttleMaker, Ann, Carla, and Julia,
