West Side Tatting

There's a roll for us.
Somewhere a roll for us,
Thirty stitches, we're almost there,
Hold the thumb,
Don't be scared.
Hold it.  Squeeze it.
We'll find a new way of tatting,
Shuttle the Lupins for Mary,
Someday...

I cannot take credit.  Sewmuchfun kindly interpreted the pattern for me with words, almost as soon as I begged for help, stopping an epic hissy fit of dyslexic torment dead in its tracks. Sharpshooter is she.

This one's for you, Ann!

Afterthought:  This could be a copyright issue, but it is also a teaching thing for folks like me.  I am taking a chance and letting it stand, with all credit give to Mary Konior, hoping I am not stepping on toes or breaking laws. This is only well-intended and to be used for personal use and not  for profit in any way.

Dragon Wing Delight! Thanks, Anne!

 #13  Motif Challenge

What a great pattern to tat!  Very versatile... Anne's blog is here.
Next to tat.... the whole dragon.  I've really got to get to that pattern.  : ))

There has been some recent  activity around Angeline's Travelling Book.

If you are not on th list, which is here, then you could send me an email and I will keep you in line.

The book is still at the beginning of it's trek and it would be helpful if everyone would post when they reeive it, and also where it is going when they are ready to send it on.  That way, we can all watch its journey as it travels across countries.

Good idea? Everybody on board with this?

Many  thanks to  those who have already taken these measures.  Makes it fun for all of us who are interested in the book being enjoyed by many tatters in many places.

Thrilled - A Rose For Scrooge

  I love this!
Sharon's pattern from her "Marvellous Motifs book.
I tatted it using Green, Lizbeth #20, and the heart is Prelovka from T.T.E.
(Note the Canadian spelling!)

Remember how Ebenezer Scrooge, in A Christmas Carol, after waking up from the dreams, is filled with such happiness as he looks out the window at the little boy who will deliver the goose?  Remember his joy? He says he doesn't deserve to feel that good!

Well, that is how I feel sometimes when I have completed something I have successfully tatted!  Crazy, huh?

I always flash to that scene when I get the happy tatting feeling.  This is amazing to me, as Alistair Sim, who played in the original movie, reminds me so very much of my dad...
