Fiddling With Findings

#53-100 Motif Challenge
#60 or #80 HDT by Jess

Findings fascinate, frustrate and are financially foolish for me to buy.  They sit there, taunting me for I seem unable to design anything for them.

    1. Thanks! It is pretty small to be a bookmark, but I might use it anyway as I had the thought as well!

  2. I'm in the same position... I have a few findings and just don't know what or how to deal with them in tatting.

Yours looks so nice and colorful!

  3. Wow Fox, I love what you did there.

I do think the rainbow thread helps. I need to get my hand on some rainbow thread, even if I have to dye it myself...

  6. Wonderful! Congratulations on such a pretty piece. I, too, love to buy findings (and beads and buttons and...) but rarely find the courage to try making something with them. You did a great job!

  8. I have some of these in my craft box, just waiting for the right inspiration to come for me to use them, and it never came, :(
You did a wonderful job with yours. Some day I will get mine done.

  9. I wanted to post this last night, but Blogger was being silly... That looks fabulous! I think that if you're working with a fancy center like that, you don't necessarily need to do complicated tatting. What you did works very nicely with the tatting and the finding complementing each other, not competing with each other.

A little short for a bookmark, a little long for a keychain. Maybe a suncatcher?

Now I need to attempt to trim a few more of Squijum's claws. Wish me luck, and please keep Gian away from the computer until I'm done-- I don't need him giving Squijum ideas on how to get out of it!
