'Round The Bend With Rayon

#10 Motif Challenge

Suneeti sent me some Rayon thread and I have spent hours trying to tame it.  In the end, I managed this pattern by  Judi Banashek. from Impeccable Tatting.

but not before a lot of this...

I had wanted to tat one of Jon's patterns, but I could not get the rayon to co-operate,

so I tatted the Banashek instead.
Thanks, Suneeti!
It was ... hmmm... interesting tatting with rayon 2-ply.  : ))

  3. Very sunny colors. I'm interested to know: did you use the thread heaven on the rayon? It looks so tangly. (is that a word?)
The Banashek is a nice pattern.

  6. very pretty colors, I have always been partial to that type of color way. I know exactly what you are talking about with the rayon, it has a mind of it's own, and the rayon threads that I have used, don't like to hold the knots, it wants to untie itself. However, your motif looks very good and it looks like you tamed your rayon thread.
