Ten To Go
These take a fair bit of time... and thread. I hope I am going to have enough white. As it is, I have used almost a full ball already.
Boredom won out and I yearned to tat more than just plain rings, though I love mignonette.
So, I pulled out Jon's book of covered rings, grabbed some new #80 - which I had to double to reach a near #30 - and some lovely teal beads...
It measures about 21/2 inches.
Feels wonderful - nice and substantial!

Taking Shape
This 14 inches of tatting has taken a lot of time.
Luckily, the Lizbeth thread is not giving me grief - only about
five knots in the white so far, so I cannot complain!
These were definitely crazy-making, fiddly elements:
This little monkey, usually so vocal,
wouldn't talk to me as I tatted the last few.
Traitor.

Tatted Trivet
That is what happened to the hat.
Yes, a trivet; that hat, now a kitchen item, has already
been given to a young couple who just became engaged!
I have tried this pattern several times and it always lies flat,
never curves into a hat. I'm done trying!
Done with the thick thread too. It's a wrist destroyer!
Look at the difference: #80 compared to #12 perle:
Here is the progress of the Fikkert piece, which is S-L-O-W going.
And fiddly. Those little ovals are not fun.
