I have some Vavaldi, but haven't tried it yet. I suspect it will be similar.Jessicahttp://snapdragonlace.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7637401073707850632.post-61519993523192562372011-11-25T10:43:24.267-05:002011-11-25T10:43:24.267-05:00Altin Basak has been my favorite for quite a while...Altin Basak has been my favorite for quite a while. I love Flora (any size) and Manula in size 20. Love the colors of Magestic size 80 treads. Lizbeth has definitely been growing on my. I usually don't like such a "crisp" thread, but I LOVE the colors, and especially love that the colors match in all sizes. I don't use variegated thread very often, but I really appreciate the fact that the variates match the solids. It's a detail that I appreciate even if I don't use it much.Jessicahttp://snapdragonlace.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7637401073707850632.post-38110954749014080032011-11-25T08:07:53.970-05:002011-11-25T08:07:53.970-05:00it's so delicate and lovely :o)

I'm not even sure the brand matters. Size 12 and finca 16 are very similar to 40 so maybe it's the size that matters more. What? I have yet to try the Lisbeth #80 so I can't really say much there. The other 6-ply thread that I like is the Hakelgarn but as Lily said, there isn't many colour choices there.

I use the 3-ply thread for try-outs when I work on new designs. I don't like tatting with 3-ply thread so much so I don't feel bad if I need to just cut it off when a design doesn't work.Tat-a-Rendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15457269449603084653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7637401073707850632.post-81283208555674840912011-11-24T09:32:53.086-05:002011-11-24T09:32:53.086-05:00It's really interesting how the beads seem to ...It's really interesting how the beads seem to change the color of the white/ecru thread. If I recall correctly, I remember reading several posts earlier this year about how much you HATED Lizbeth.... It does have it's Cons, with that I agree. But it also has a good side (knots slide easily, knots are easily un-picked,etc). Glad you were able to come to a love/hate relationship with the brand (LOL)

Have you tried Hakelgarn? I decided to get that brand one time, and I've been a fan ever since. They don't have a wide color selection though, but the ones they do have are pretty.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
