Wow! Fabulous Fox! What an achievement. It looks really beautiful on the back of the chair, the darker colour of the background really showing off the tatting. Well done!
Congratulations!! It's really beautiful and I take my hat off to you for going back to it after getting fed up with adding the beads. It's well worth finishing.
Congratulations and well done it's truly a beautiful piece of tatting, you should be proud of yourself in finishing a beautiful matLove to Mr G
Nagyon szép lett!!!gratulálok!Én a 9 körnél tartok...egyszer már elkezdtem és pár körig eljutottam... remélem most kitartóbb leszek...ez nagyon szép minta!!
Looks awesome!!!! :)I thought you might pass me and get done first! Although, I do have a bit of an excuse with my mom's death and dealing with all her stuff now. I will get back to it hopefully soon!!
Oh, I think you can be forgiven, Sue! Take it easy and you'll get back to it before you know it - you are almost done. Take care of yourself. It is a difficult time, I know. 💕
So with this many beads left you could do another 😄lol it's beautiful congratulations 🌹💟🌹
That's great, beautiful tatting
Congratulations! Just finished mine 5 or 6 days ago. Yours looks wonderful on the dark chair - you can really see the colors and the tatting well. It's beautiful!StephanieW
Thanks, Stephanie! Have you posted a pic of yours? Must see it! :)
No pic yet, sorry. It's done in Valdani #35 thread - quilting/machine embroidery thread - in a 'raspberry' shade that is one of their overdyed colors. I haven't blocked it yet, but it probably will be around 13-14 inches in diameter once it's blocked.Regards to Mr. G.StpehanieStephanie
Beautiful! Are you keeping this one?
It's for Little Maeve... she's six, and loves purple. Hence the beads. :)
It's wonderful, I love it, So elegant in the plain colours. How much thread did you use?
Maureen, it is so much prettier in person... much lighter. I used almost an entire ball of Finca white and of the ecru Finca roll, I have about 1/8th of the roll left.
Turned out just beautiful. Nice work!
Wow, it looks wonderful Fox! It has a lovely antique look sitting on the back of the chair. All of the time you've spent on this project has been well worth it.
Oh my goodness! It does look exceptionally pretty on that chair! Looks like it could be another top ribbon winner! ! !Is this the largest one you've done so far? It's HUGE! ! ! !
Thanks, Willow! Haven't checked the blog yet ( gave the other biggie to a friend) , but it seems to me that this one is a tad smaller. I am going to check as you've sparked my interest!
Absolutely glorious! Your colors are soothing and satisfying-it will be a treasured heirloom for generations.
Elegantly frothy on the light background & stunning on the dark!!! Well worth the wait :-D
I can't believe how many large doilies you have made, and with beads, yet! This is another winner - if you wanted to enter it somewhere! Renata's designs are such beautiful examples of 'classic' tatting. When I saw Maeve's name I was reminded of your 'Maeve' medallion design, and I don't believe I've ever mentioned that I tatted it years ago, and it sits above my sofa in its own frame in a grouping of other items, so I see it every day and think of you - and Maeve! Can't believe she's 6 already!
Kathy! That is wonderful! Thank you for telling me about the Maeve design. That made my day! She is six - I can hardly believe it either!
Lovely! A noteworthy achievement.
Thank you Tatters, for the lovely comments and all your support this last half year as I fought to finish this piece. Your words sustained me and inspired me to tatting action! 🤗💞💞💞
Yay! Looks amazing.
Just gorgeous, Fox!!!
Beautiful! The colors are so subdued but add an interesting detail. Congratulations on finishing it!
