Now The Tenth

I am trusting  that all the ruffling will settle down soon, though not stressed about it for a change.

I might be keeping this one and gifting the red and blue one; my friend really liked it and I must admit, the colours to me are not at all pleasing!

Seems to me if someone truly appreciates my tatting and the colour beckons, then the piece should find its home easily!

Here it is at about 12":

Do you imagine he cares?

  2. I'm near this same place in my own doily. While I'm having problems with my hands, I'm reluctant to try to tat with the size 80 threads I'm using. I hope to get back to it soon. I've been spritzing the doily with water and lightly finger pressing everything into place between each round, but the success of the other doilies already completed is reassuring, too. The cupping will go away.

  3. Well, he looks rather nonchalant about it! You're making good progress.

  5. Who cares if he cares? As with many handsome "men", we just put up with them! Doily looks gorgeous!

  6. Do you know, I have been thinking, and in all the years of reading your blog I think this is the very first time you've actually expressed a desire to keep something! - Usually you give it away or put it out of sight. So I feel this is a Red Tatting Day and you should certainly keep this one if it's giving you so much pleasure.

    1. Maureen, so funny you wrote that! I decided to actually give away the red and ecru, and this one shall go to Little Boss, Maeve, now six, to be put away for when she is older! 😂😂

  10. Very nice tatting and statement for finding the right home you should write a book for tatters not with patterns but with all the things contemplated while tatting ha ha ha but not totally joking :)

  11. You should know a man does not care about female things, unless you poke it up his nose and make him look at it.
Your doily is looking lovely, no 80 my eye would not see it now.
