Waiting With MrG

As I wait for my thread I am continuing the hankie border. I really love the unusual colours I have picked!

No photo of progress, but one of MrG, who just has stolen my spot and is seriously studying his new interest!

Also, my dear friend Suneeti sent me this:

I think I already posted about it, but to reiterate, I must tell you how wonderful a product this is for split fingertips or cuticles. Marvellous stuff. Suneeti rocks! : ))

New Plan

I'm not one for Easter Eggy colours, so ...

Now using #80 Lizbeth ...is this fuscia? It's a bit unusual, but I like the combo, as there is lilac and a purpley-blue in Lea's thread (#50).I think there will be sufficient.

Working with both threads, (both different sizes) I really notice the inferior quality of the Lizbeth. Luckily I have so little of it left!

The Waiting Game

How long will it take the thread to arrive from Australia? I guess about two weeks. Bets?

I did manage to complete the round without running out, which is very lucky! Now I'm playing the same  dangerous game, as I've begun a border on another of my hankie gifts. This one is for me.

The thread is Karey's, #70, a freebie, (thank you, Lea!) combined with a #80 Lizbeth, so I don't - hopefully - run out! The pattern is Karey's.

At the Mercy of the Post

Seven and a half inches and waiting for mail. Lea has put the thread in the post. She was so accommodating; she got it in the mail within hours of purchase! Thank you, Lea!

In the meantime,I cleaned up my stash - 98% #80. However, I am enjoying the #50 so much, that I have ordered another skein as well. Luxury!

Oh No!

Not again...I'm out of the turquoise. And the variegated is suspiciously low as well.

Lea has assured me she can get some more made up for me. I'm not too concerned about a perfect match; I just want to get the piece finished. All those hearts await my shuttles.

Next Row

Slowly, I am getting this tatted. I saw one errant picot in this last row, but my new outlook is - nobody is going to notice it! I used to cut them off. : )) Progress.

Second Row Success

On to the third row now. This already measures six inches and I'd better increase the speed for I'm fearing a lack of enough thread to finish the hearts at the end!

This situation might call for creative colour work...

Smoother Sailing

Yes, once past that first row, the pattern is not at all difficult. Shouldn't take too long to complete.

I'm wondering what to tat next and in which thread. Ah, the dilemmas of the NewYear! Better that than Diane's organizational challenges! : )) Pay her a visit. I had a good chuckle.

It's About Time

So, for how many months of the last year did I flirt with frustrated concerning the Land of Laces pattern?

Well, it took till the closing hours of 2015 for me to get the hang of that first round! Now, I'm not so sure where the problem originated, but whatever, the piece is well on its way to completion, tatted with Lea's #50 HDT.

Someone is not quite as as impressed. Snore on.
