Taking Shape

This 14 inches of tatting has taken a lot of time.

Luckily, the Lizbeth thread is not giving me grief - only about
five knots in the white so far, so I cannot complain!

These were definitely crazy-making, fiddly elements:

This little monkey, usually so vocal,
wouldn't talk to me as I tatted the last few.
Traitor.

  1. It really is taking shape! I'll try to catch up on this one some day. Meanwhile, I need to keep plugging along on the two I've undertaken.

  2. It looks beautiful. Yours lay so flat without blocking?
Mr G is sulking? So is Tsuru!

    1. I dampen the little motifs after I finish a round and that gets them straightened enough, but I don’t really block them, not with pins and a board.

Yes, he is not happy with me when I tat too much and do not focus solely on His Majesty. : ))

  3. Oh, Fox, this is so very pretty! You have made a lot of beauties, but this is my favorite! I love the pattern and the colors are simply delicious!

Poor, Mr. G! He allows you to share his home and all he asks in return is your complete attention and adoration 24/7. Seems like a small enough price to pay for his company! ;) . . . after you finish this lovely piece of art! Such funny, sweet creatures!

  5. I think he can tell your concentration level, and is discussed with this little hobby of yours, it is out of control :) Don't tell him but I think they look great! those centers are trouble, my thread keeps wrapping around things it should not. But looks like that is the last of it, and it is over (for your)no more of those in the doily :)

  6. I am LOVING your colors on this doily - just stunning. And Gian is acting like Ruby. Close enough to display complete indifference.
