Apologies to Diane!

It had to happen. There I was, joshing with Diane about having to bring out the scissors on a Jan Stawasz pattern. After all, I had also learned that lesson the hard way on The Monster. Now, of course I was wiser, more accustomed to the patterns of the Polish master. HA!

I had to cut the centre motif out after I attached it before adding a picot. Then I  snipped off the wrong point when I began to correct the mistake. A mess. Now I have to re-tat the whole motif. Bah.

  1. I kinda feel that that hand is wagging an admonishing finger at you, for not being more careful ?! ;-P .... Hats off to your patience, though ((Hugs))

  5. Oh Fox, I know how you want it to be perfect, I am sure Mr G is wagging his paw at you and saying not again mother.
I know you can do it, just take a deep breath and start again.
    Love to Mr. G

    1. Carollyn, I'm used to it! I tat too much late at night and when I'm too tired. Just don't do that and you'll be fine! : )

  7. One of the reasons I don't work in stone: you can't redo a mistake. The goal is the end product. If there is a lot of cutting, re-tatting and les mots mal, c'est la vie!
I, too, am amazed at the large projects you accomplish. And, all are beautiful.

    1. Funny you say that: my dad used to carve stone and I was always fascinated how he could make those images appear and they would be flawless. : ). Better him than me!

  8. I wish I could get paid for every picot I accidentally snipped. I think I could be a wealthy woman!
