Headway

Finished row #7 and wondering what comes next!
Sounds as if there may be two more rows...

#80 thread
7" so far

XXXXX

You know I don’t display my tatting, nor do I wear it. So, I surprised myself. Here is what happened.

In the elevator, the other day, a woman I was chatting with thrust these pretty blooms into my hands. She had rescued them from an event and just gave them to me, saying, “Happy Mothers’ Day!"

I grabbed the Lucky Clover, and placed the flowers on top. Pretty!

  5. Love the daffs on the d… tatted mat! Looks perfect. I use many of my tatted pieces around the house; seems a shame to put all that work in and keep them hidden away. You should use yours more!

  6. That's amazing - the perfect pot of flowers, just when you didn't know you needed them. I wonder what the universe has in mind for your summer doily.

  7. I love that display of the tatted mat. Your summer doily is perfect, as always. I too interpreted Renulek's last post to mean there are two rounds left. How big is your doily so far?

  8. Also--that darned Lizbeth thread! I usually say, oh, bigger sizes don't give me fits? Well, I wound three samples for an exchange. Each was 10 yards, and each of them had a knot, or a slub, or a big stretched out yucky part that you couldn't tat and would have to cut. Really? Size 10, BTW, different colors.

    2. I had Brenda from Bre-Aly Threads do some dyeing for me with Lizbeth in 20 and 40.....she had real problems being able to wind me off 50m skeins without a join in it. She was really frustrated with it. Her colors were GORGEOUS though!!

    3. I bought that a few years ago when you talked about it, Liyarra. It was great thread, but a bit heavy for me as I'm not good with #20. Good quality though.

  9. Ooh! That is pretty... Both of the doilies and the flowers! My tatting is all over the house, but I do give it away if someone admires a piece. I love looking at all those little bits of lace!
