Completed and Completely Charming

... if I might say so myself!

Lucky Clover
Pattern by Blomqvist and Presson
Thread #80 DMC thanks to Tatty Tally!
#11 Delica Beads
Measures 9”

I must thank Stephanie Wilson, who supported me in
tatting this and many other patterns, offering lots of advice along the way.

Her #80 thread tatting was a catalyst for my switching to tiny threads.

This is the kind of thing she tats:

Can you can see why I was inspired?

  1. I don't even see the beads, but this is a work of perfection! Congratulations on finishing it, Fox. :)

I love that Ben Fikkert design. Stephanie did well with it.

  4. You may indeed say so - because it is! - Charming. And I don't think it would have looked as lovely in size 20, I know that Ben Fikkert's designs are usually for tiny threads that don't translate well into thicker ones.

  8. I love the lucky clover, and did this in a large size I like this style with no picots showing I may try it again in tiny thread too. I too had to look for the beads, so beautiful tatting is nice in the dainty smaller sizes like 40 and up. I can see why you tat as well as you do with friends like Stephanie :) what fun, and does she have a blog I don't know about?

    1. Thank you! Hard to tell how much thread as I had to cut out lots! Also I started with a used ball. I imagine it was about one ball of the DMC #89 that YOU sent me. : ))
