Turtle Trudging......

Pattern from: A New Approach to Tatting
by Yusai Shokoin.
The Mystery Doily has slowed all tatting to a snail’s pace...  (So what! It is just a mixed metaphor - nothing to call in the tatting police about....)

This is all I have managed to do in the past two days. It’s all try and try again, I’m afraid, and that is using a plain, old, ivory #30 Cébélia!

Should be a while before I will be able to show you anything. Thanks to the tatters at InTatters, I have good instructions that Frivole addresses here.

  1. Well, the turtle did beat the hare in the end, and you are nothing if not persistent.

  3. Sometimes, you need to set a project aside and do something else, which is exactly what you did with the motif above. And Miranda is correct, the turtle did beat the hare in the end. Slow and steady wins the race every time.

  4. Lovely tatting! I always stop tatting the moment I make a mistake, for then I get all exited and lose my patience. Just have to sleep on it.

  5. Nice piece of tatting, lovely colour, I am laughing at the turtle and the hare, I am sure you know the turtle or tortoise always wins and the hare is always last.

    Love to Gian
I am trying to catch up with the blogs but everyone's been so busy I don't think I will ever catch up.
Hope you have a nice weekend
    Hugs
