Abandoned!

I really tried to get into this pattern for most of the weekend.

But, I am going to stick to my new tatting path, which is to veer around frustration.  Perhaps another time, I shall attempt this pattern which would have been about 6 inches or more accross. Got to be in the mood!

I really enjoyed the centre, which I tried two ways. It was the outer round that I found trying. It is from a Danish Magazine.

These might be nice on a T-shirt for
The Boss and Mini-Boss...

****************

This is pretty small and is very tight between the elements,, but if you look closely, you can see the twisted picots between the loops... I liked them : )

  1. I love that you know how to abandon things when necessary. The white one is especially nice.

  2. Both centers are very nice just the way they are. They will look very good on shirts.
Good for you to set it aside and do something else. No sense being frustrated.
The Elgiva Nicholls motif is cute and so are the twisted picots.

    1. Thanks, Suz,
It is Vineyard Harvest - or something like that - a Lizbeth thread.

  5. At least you ended up with two beautiful motifs in great colors. Not a total loss.

  6. The little blue flower is adorable. I really like the thread you used for the abandoned motif. Just center round is really pretty on it's own!

  7. I have a few abandoned project lying around, but none as pretty as this! Any chance you'll get back to it? I have several that I think are destined for the trash can, mainly because I'm not sure what pattern I was tatting!

I love the idea of using the motifs to decorate t-shirts!

  8. Looks similar to a motif I did from Anna Burda, only there it was just your centre part joined to each other to make a table cover. I only made one at a time(!), and used it to decorate food covers. T-shirt would be a good idea too.

  9. Hi Fox

You are not alone, I abandoned something over the weekend, does not often happen but this time it did.
But out of the ashes you have two pretty little motifs so not all is lost.
Nice mini motif, yes I can see your twisted picots well done.
    Love to Gian
Hope you weather has improved we have rain today.

  10. Harvest Vineyard is my favorite color. You have a beautiful start so far. I am right there with you when it comes to frustration. However, I seem to have to throw a temper tantrum an pitch the project across the room before I set it aside. For some crazy reason it helps.
    Lovely tiny blue motif.

I had enormous problems trying to keep this motif in check when I did it too...Nearly beat me and I think there were 4 or 5 attempts that ended up in the fireplace before I finally got it!
    Hang in there Fox.....
