Tat-Along Transition

well, I am now at the third round of Jon's Tat-Along and after reading Val's blog, decided I would change colours at this point. AND add a few... beads. I can thank Maureen for the inspiration! Ohhh, it is going to be so pretty!  Thanks, Jon!

It is clear to see that my creativity is definitely informed by careful considerations of Tat-land comments and also the scrutiny of all the tatting blogs I read. Of course, I listen to the wind and my cat... : ))

LATER: Too much introspection!  The round in grey is all WRONG!  Maybe I should not be tatting in the wee hours?    : 0

  1. this is going to look so pretty Fox. The yellow are grey will really pop. and the soft grey will set off the design. and of course it wouldn't be a Fox creation without some beads. You do a very good job knowing what and where to add them.

  2. Lovely colors!
It reminds me many years ago a dear friend of mind made an crochet afghan for her daughter using similar colors (she added white). At the time, I was not sure I LIKED it!!! It did take a bit for it to 'grow' on me. As time went by, she passed away and her daughter gave me the afghan! So, now that the weather is getting cooler, its time to think about bring my 'fond treasure' out for the winter. Thank you for bring back a wonderful memory!

  4. It's always interesting (and often amusing) to 'observe' your decision-making and thought processes! You'll probably have this finished this evening!

Thanks so much for your kind words on my blog! I very much enjoy reading and commenting on the blogs. It's a stress reliever for me.

  6. Of course I can't see the colors in real life, but the gray looks great from here. I hope you haven't cut it off yet!

    1. Thanks, Miranda,
I HAD to cut it off. Pattern was all messed up by my late hours! I am tatting that row again...

  7. So, the grey round is only "wrong" due to stitch counts right?
I just want to make sure because I think the color choice of the thread and beads is perfect!

  9. I'm liking that color choice - it will be fun to see it progress. And heck, I can't tat much past 9pm or my eyes see stitches that aren't there!
