  8. FABULOUS! What a marvelous result, owing to a 'chain' of events, that led to the existence of your beautiful version, done in very unusual but striking colors! A perfect mix of variegated and solids, and excellent tatting and blocking! We all know how you persevered to accomplish this! The clovers are very attractive with the yellow splash!

I have to admit that looking at the digitized Australian newspaper, the doily would not have called out to me! Jon's pursuit of bringing it back to life and then charting the pattern has now unearthed this wonderful 1938 pattern of Norma's! When I first saw Jon's tatted version, I very much admired it, and thanks to her excellent chart, it is now being tatted by many in Tat Land, and will be available for others to tat in the future. I hope those at the Australian Trove site can be made aware of the beautiful doilies that are emerging from the Tat Along - and how quickly this has evolved!

  11. Lovely! The beads work really well too. I've just finished watching the most amazing thunderstorm, and I think we had every colour in the sky that you have in your tatting. Beautiful yellows, blues and greys!

  12. Great job! Beautifully tatted, and the colors are exciting together. I like the little beads in there, too.

  13. My goodness, thank you all for such validating praise! i love it!

This is perhaps the largest piece I have tatted and it is the first one that gave me NO grief! I did not run out of thread; the thread did not break, I did not have to un-tat very much, and it went very quickly.

Thanks to Jon for making this pattern accessible,
    Fox : )
