Planning My Next Move...

Now that I am so close to finishing, I find I am overwhelmed by the choice of patterns that I have at my disposal from which I am absolutely unable to pick just ONE! There is so much.

One of My Diversions

So, I trudge off into Tat-land to view many creative blogs to see what appeals to me - this is spite of just receiving all of Julie Patterson’s wonderful books.  I have not tatted one thing from these, and the pattern that is truly beckoning me is one of Julie’s that I found by chance and downloaded for free!

Maybe yesterday’s rainbow, just outside my window,
has inspired some ability to choose...

Oh, the trials and tribulations of an obsessed tatter
are numerous and confounding.

 Enough for today.

  2. Your new header is fabulous! That edging in those colors is beguilingly beautiful.

That said, I must shake my finger in reproach for distracting me so thoroughly with your new "Proud Beauty" tat. I have that book! After searching the Internet for examples (there are many) I ran to my tatting library and spent 15 minutes poring through fat, heavy binders filled with booklets. Until I found my copy of Tatters Treasure Chest.

  5. What a beautiful edge!! AND a magnificent rainbow! I'm not going to be much help in finding a pattern to tat...you know me, I'm stuck in the white thread world with long, boring edges.

    wonderful work!!

    1. Hi John,
Thank you! Your long, boring edges are always soooo inspirational! I find I forget about white thread and then I see something wonderful all in all white or ecru. A real treat.

  6. Isn't that part of the fun? Choosing patterns and thread colours, beads to match? Hanky edging was fast even with the other projects to relief the boredom. I just printed Julie's books and still have not tatted anything! Soon, I hope!

  7. Sometimes Tatland can be very distracting, I am surposed to be finishing towel edgings for April and May birthdays just been, but Frivole distracted me and now I must add more rows. Oh well the towels will get finished soon and I am not late as they don't know that they are getting them.

  8. It's great to have so many patterns to choose from, it's better to have too many than not enough.
