New Directions

There has been another shift in my tatting.  I am not sure exactly what has occurred; you know, when all of a sudden you are aware that you are doing something differently, but you are not certain when or how this change has happened.

I am excited to show you this recent motif that is not the sort of thing I usually have enjoyed. : )

  1. Well, that certainly piques my curiosity! What are you doing differently, and does it help????

The motif looks very interesting. I look forward to seeing the rest of it.

    1. I don’t know what I am doing! But, everything feels different - more controlled or something. Maybe playing around with the f/s b/s a week ago shifted something... Whatever it is, I am not complaining - for once! : )

    2. Maybe something to do with the GR-8 shuttles, now that you've had a chance to get used to them? Anyway, I'm glad that your tatting is feeling better for you.

  2. There's nowt wrong with a bit of complaining and you don't complain anyway. Well, not that I've noticed. You criticise yourself but in my opinion that's normal for somebody who's trying to improve on their craft skills. Well, that's my excuse for my complaining about myself!!! Does this comment make sense? If not blame the large glass of red wine I've just 'taken care' of!!!

  3. That's wonderful! Sounds like you have found a new "groove". I hope it lasts as long as you like it!

  4. Hi Fox

It's nice to do something different from time to time, they say "it's as good as having a rest"

It looks a nice motif but I can't see what you are doing differently, unless it's something different from a motif

  5. Hallo Fox, its't exciting, to feel a positive change! May be the shuttle, may be the pattern, may be a video you saw, or is it mothersday? (we have that today) So, I fell happy with you!
I could also improve my flew of sliding the shuttle working so intensitive under pressure on the little doily.
So, "exciting" and happy tatting to you, Fox! Want to see the finished motif ;-))
