Can't Leaf it Alone

Yarnplayer's terrific new Maple Leaf design.
Fast, fun and easy.

This is from a pattern in  Priscilla Tatting Book No. 2” Julia E. Sanders, 1915, that Renulek has featured  on her blog.  I was inspired by her post and just had to tat this.

It is not in the  Sanders book that I have and I had trouble printing it.  Not too sure why.  I ended up taking a screen shot of the pattern, saving it as a JPEG and then printing it off from there.  Seems a bit of a circuitous route to get hard copy...

  9. Your maple leaves are magnificent! Love the colors. Don't the beads add the perfect pizazz in this design? Can't wait to make a few of these for earrings! Will you be wearing yours?

The Priscilla motif is a stunner. Love the quatrefoils around the outer edge. Your chain work here is impeccable.

  10. I'm delighted (and shocked) to see that my 'test' comment went through after all! This has been an issue for many commenters for several days, so I'm hoping Blogger is solving the problem. They are apparently making major changes to Blogger, but when they do that, things also seem to get goofed up!

Anyway, I wanted to comment on those beautiful leaves! Wonderful colors!

I also love the way you added the contrast color to the 'Priscilla' pattern, although I couldn't find the pattern in any of the Priscilla books in the Antique Pattern Library. It's puzzing where that came from!

At this point I'm aware of your boo-boo from the hook on your tatting shuttle! I'm hoping to comment on that post also!
